Aim

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing people who can utilise social media or telephones to generate good quality stock donations for our retail team.

Volunteers are a crucial part of our retail team. Each year, more than £2million of the money raised in our shops goes directly towards our work. As a volunteer, your time and hard work will help us provide the very best specialist care for families and individuals living with EB.

The role will involve

Approaching businesses, schools, colleges, or anywhere where stock could be left behind.

The role could also involve picking up individually or as a group in a particular community. Or alternatively helping to organise with community groups and workplaces to gather donations to be delivered to the nearest DEBRA shop.

The stock generators will be an important asset and ambassador for DEBRA in local communities. They will in turn help to promote volunteering, encouraging more volunteers to join our team.

What we require from you

• To have initiative and be self-motivated
• A willingness to learn (some of these skills you will already have, and others may require training, which we will provide for you)
• Ability to use a computer
• Experience of retail and an understand what types of stock we need for our shops
• Reliable and good timekeeping
• Ability to work on your own and as part of our team
• Excellent oral and written communicator
