What is the DEBRA Retail Challenge?

Time for you and your team to have your apprentice moment! Ignite the fire of teamwork within your talented staff.

Take over 2 or more DEBRA stores for the day and ‘battle’ to win a trophy to highlight your incredible achievements. One trophy for largest increase in sales, and one for highest amount of fundraising.

We will come and brief your teams 4 weeks before the event, so you have time to prepare. Winning team/s will receive a trophy and each participant receives a certificate.

When?

Anytime throughout the year – ideally with at least 4 weeks notice.

Where?

Join us in 2 or more of DEBRA stores, we have over 100 across the UK. Find your nearest stores here.

Number of participants

 2 or more teams, between 3 and 5 people per team.

Dress Code

We can supply DEBRA t-shirts, or you can come in fancy dress (dress to impress, themed to time of year – Easter, Christmas, etc.)

How it works

Your teams will be fully briefed and supported before and during the retail challenge.

Here are some ideas your colleagues could consider doing on the day:

• Bring in items to sell – anything they have around the house or get them to raid their friends and families wardrobe
• Fundraise before the day (i.e. setting us a Give As You Live page and ask friends and family to donate)
• Have a special discount rail on the day
• Hold a cake sale for donations
• Have a raffle/tombola
• Do a street collection (let us know if you want to do this, as we will need to contact the council for approval)
• Dress up/fancy dress – just for a bit of fun and to create a buzz in-store or entice people in
• Have a competition to entice people into the store
• Living Mannequins – could your teams show off some of the wonderful clothes available to buy in-store

Why do it?

Because your company has the power to make real change happen for people with EB whilst you build teams and motivation within your workforce.

DEBRA's retail challenge raises awareness of the condition and valuable monies to #StopThePain. As well as donations, the awareness you generate helps spread the message about EB and encourage others to get involved.
