See below our fundraising FAQs. If your question isn't answered below or you require support with your fundraising, please get in touch with the team - [email protected]

What can I do to fundraise for DEBRA?

There are lots of things you can do to raise money for DEBRA – have a look at our fundraising ideas page for inspiration.

Can I get DEBRA materials like balloons, collections boxes and posters?

Yes, please contact one of the DEBRA Fundraising Team who will be able to help.

Where can I get a DEBRA fundraising pack from?

Please fill out the online from to request your pack or email the Fundraising Team.

Where can I get a DEBRA sponsorship form from?

You can download a DEBRA sponsorship form from our ideas and resources page.

How do I keep my fundraiser/event safe and legal?

Check if you need insurance cover – this may include Personal Liability, damage to property and event cancellation.

Safety first – always.

If children are involved in fundraising please make sure they have permission from their legal guardian and are supervised by a responsible adult.

If you are planning on selling alcohol then your venue must have an alcohol licence. If in doubt always check with your local authority.

You must contact your local authority if you are collecting in the street as you may need a licence. If you are collecting on private property then permission from the owner or manager is needed. If in doubt or you need any help or advice, please do contact us.

How do I pay in money I have raised?

Money that you have raised online via a JustGiving page will automatically come to DEBRA. Money that you have raised offline can be paid in via one of the following methods:

At the bank – You can pay your money directly into the DEBRA bank account: HSBC, Account Number 41132547, Sort Code 40-18-46. Please quote your name as a reference and if possible email [email protected]

By post – Send cheques made payable to DEBRA to: DEBRA, The Capitol Building, Oldbury, Bracknell, RG12 8FZ

By phone – Call 01344 771961 to make a payment using your credit or debit card.

To help us process your contribution as quickly and efficiently as possible, please provide your name, contact details and event when paying money in.

How do I set up a JustGiving page?

Creating a JustGiving is quick and easy – simply follow the links to their step by step guides.

Can I claim Gift Aid on the money I have raised?

As a registered charity, DEBRA can claim back an extra 25p on every £1 donated through Gift Aid. To claim Gift Aid your sponsors must be UK tax payers and they will need to record their home address, postcode, donation amount and tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsor form or fundraising web page.

How does my donation or the money raised make a difference?

DEBRA relies on voluntary income to ensure that we can provide vital practical and emotional support to the EB community, as well as part-funding enhanced specialist nursing in partnership with the NHS and pioneering research with the ultimate aim of finding a cure. We could not do this without your support, thank you.

Can I use your logo on my website or in publicity materials?

You cannot change the DEBRA logo in any way and you must ensure that you represent DEBRA correctly. Commercial organisations are not permitted to use DEBRA’s name or logo without prior written consent. To obtain a high-resolution logo, email [email protected]. The simplest and quickest way to create your own DEBRA fundraising poster is to download one of the template posters, which are complete with the DEBRA logo and ready for you to fill in your event details.

What fundraising events are DEBRA organising?

Search our current fundraising events for runs, challenges, golf days and other events you can sign up to take part in.
