Lenore England at DEBRA Greenwich store with shop staff and Director of Retail Chantelle Milne

On Thursday 28th July, we were delighted to welcome American philanthropist, Lenore England, to our Greenwich retail store.

The Lenore England Family Foundation and Philanthropy have committed to funding up to £2 million for EB research. With Lenore's generous support, DEBRA can invest in drug re purposing programmes to accelerate finding treatments which will lessen the day-to-day impact of EB.

Lenore met with our Director of Retail, Chantelle Milne, Area Manager, Emily Palmer, Greenwich Store Manager, Michael Jacombe, and the rest of our Greenwich team.

Lenore said:

I had a wonderful visit to the DEBRA Greenwich store! I so enjoyed meeting and talking to the staff. What an honour and privilege to see how hard they are working to support DEBRA. I look forward to visiting other DEBRA retail stores in the near future. My many thanks to everyone in the Greenwich store and to all of the DEBRA retail staff.

DEBRA Director of Retail, Chantelle Milne commented:

It was a true privilege to meet Lenore England at our Greenwich store today. Lenore is such an inspirational lady, whose passion and commitment to DEBRA UK was overwhelming. Thank you to Emily, Michael and the fabulous team at Greenwich for such a warm welcome and beautifully presented store.

We're so grateful to Lenore England for her generosity and commitment to bringing us a step closer to our vision of a world where no one suffers from the painful skin condition EB.
