The London-Paris cycle tour is recognised as one of the world's most exciting cycling events open to the public and is the closest an amateur rider can get to the Tour de France experience. Make no mistake – this is an endurance ride of a gruelling nature. You will need to train beforehand and dedicate yourself wholeheartedly over the three days. The reward however is a fantastic sense of achievement that makes the final day an emotional one.
The event is distinguished by having motorbike outriders, rolling road closures in France and professional logistical back up along the 520km route, from Hampton Court to The Eiffel Tower. In Paris, The London-Paris is one of only two cycling events granted road closures in the centre of the French capital – the other is the Tour de France.
The 450 cyclists, riding in seeded speed groups, are supported by HotChillee's crew which includes mechanics, marshals, outriders, sports therapists and experienced Ride Captains.
The Daily Telegraph listed The London-Paris as one of the world's top 25 mass participation events, alongside the New York and London marathons. It also named The London-Paris as one of the top 10 adventure events for women and was given a top 10 place in international endurance events.
