We'd like to say a huge congratulations to Mark Algar and Paul Buckworth who completed a 113km Ultramarathon called The Wall on the 18th June 2022 to raise money to help #FightEB.

The Wall is a 70 mile ultramarathon through historic Hadrian’s Wall country, starting in Carlisle and ending in Newcastle.

Mark and Paul completed the course in 17 hours, 37 minutes, crossing the finish line in Newcastle at 1:30am.

Mark’s son, Ollie, has Dystrophic EB and is his motivation as he continues to push himself to the extremes to raise funds to help #FightEB.

“Everyday I watch Ollie deal with pain and discomfort living with EB. It would be an absolute dream not having to wake every morning and pop blisters and see Ollie live a pain free life.”
