As the curtains draw on yet another successful DEBRA golf season, we celebrate the incredible support and enthusiasm of 900 golfers across 14 remarkable golf days in 2023. Their collective efforts have raised an astounding £200,000 towards our A Life Free of Pain appeal. We extend our deepest gratitude to each supporter who stood by us and contributed to this significant milestone. Your support is instrumental in shaping a better future for the EB community.

With this funding, we have commissioned our first drug repurposing trial for EB, and we are confident that this will be the first of many. 

While the list of extraordinary individuals who have gone above and beyond in supporting our Golf Society is extensive, we express our immense gratitude to a few standout figures. Jon Isaacs and Laurence Blunt have been instrumental throughout the year, generously providing prizes, underwriting events, and facilitating access to exclusive golf courses. Their unwavering support embodies the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines our community. 

Our thoughts and well-wishes also extend to our Golf President, Steve Rider, currently on the path to recovery following an operation. We are looking forward to his return in 2024.
