Support us Events Golf pairs match play The DEBRA Pairs Match-play Knock-out is another great way to meet DEBRA golfers whilst supporting the charity. The final will be played at a prestigious English golf course in 2024 and there will be the opportunity for the victorious pair to win a wonderful prize, details to be confirmed shortly. Book your pair DEBRA Pairs Match-play Knock-out 2023 rules: Entry fee is £70 per pair, payable in advance. The competition is open to both men and ladies (any combination) who hold current handicaps (WHS Handicap Index - men max 28, ladies max 36). The format is four-ball better ball match play, where the lowest handicap player gives strokes to the other three players based on 90% of the difference between the lowest WHS Course Handicap and that of each player. In mixed matches, men play from the allocated tee of the day at the venue of play, ladies play from the red tees, WHS Course Handicap to be calculated accordingly. Stroke Index to be taken from the men's card. Depending upon the number of entries, we will endeavour to ensure that the initial round matches are not geographically too far apart. We will leave it to the pairs drawn to agree on home, away or neutral venue for each match, using a coin toss as the decider where needed. (The DEBRA team will be happy to toss a coin on your behalf.) When playing at home, we expect the home team, if club members, to split the guest fee with their opponents. After each round, you will need to submit your result to [email protected] in time for the draw for each subsequent round. Please also advise us of any handicap changes during the tournament. The final will be played at a prestigious English course in early 2024 on a date to be agreed with the finalists and our host venue (no green fees to pay). The winning pair will also receive a trophy each and a fantastic prize, details yet to be confirmed. 2022 Pairs Match-play The 2022 Pairs Match-play finalists have been decided.
