• Large, heavy, or rusted exercise equipment
• Power tools:
  • Circular saws
  • Table saws
  • Nail guns
  • Angle grinders
  • Chain saws
  • Hedge trimmers

Baby and children’s items

• Car seats & booster seats
• Door bouncers for babies, cot bumpers, baby walkers with wheels
• Children’s highchairs
• Children’s nightwear without a fire safety label
• Children’s nightwear made from synthetic materials (prior washing may have affected the item’s flame retardant properties)
• Children’s dressing up clothes without a CE label
• Toys that do not display the CE label

Clothing and personal items

• Used make-up
• Unsealed perfumes and toiletries
• Nightwear that does not meet flammability requirements (anything labelled ‘Keep Away from Fire’)
• Real fur

Furniture and homeware

• Upholstered furniture without the fire labels attached (unless made before 1950)
• Stained mattresses
• Blinds that are not new in packing

Weapons and dangerous items

• Firearms of any sort
• Weapons & knives of any type
• Explosives in any form
• Motorcycle helmets or riding helmets

Chemicals and hazardous materials

• Drugs and poisons
• Glues, solvents, and aerosols
• Hot water bottles
• Candles without warning labels
• Any items of fuel (gas, solid fuel, petrol etc)
• Alcohol

Counterfeit and restricted goods

• Counterfeit goods
• DVDs intended for sale outside Europe
• Items marked ‘not for resale’
