For those of you who can donate time…volunteer for us!
We are always grateful for the support our volunteers give to help us #FightEB. However due the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, only select stores are open with new opening times. We are accepting volunteer registrations so that we have a team ready and waiting. Please register your interest using the button below.
Every day, DEBRA volunteers across the UK have fun developing their skills and experience. There are lots of things to do in our DEBRA retail stores such as designing displays and window dressings, labelling items for sale, customer service, stock taking; or you could volunteer at one of our fundraising events, co-ordinate collection tins or become a local ambassador.
We couldn’t raise vital funds without the support of our volunteers. Our wide range of volunteering opportunities and flexible approach mean that you decide exactly how and where you give your time.
We’d love to hear from any willing volunteers, please register your interest and we will contact you when our shops re-open or our fundraising events are re-scheduled.
We want to make sure that you get as much out of your volunteer experience as we do.
Becoming a DEBRA volunteer is great for:
A study by The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) found that 77% of volunteers reported that it had improved their mental health, and 69% of 18-24 year olds reported that volunteering improved their employment prospects.
DEBRA volunteer award winner Brian has been volunteering in our Send shop for more than 20 years! Brian has a visual impairment so his guide dog, Justin, keeps an eye on him while he volunteers...
As a person living with EB, Helen tells us why she enjoys volunteering with DEBRA so much...
Boo talks about the diversity and challenges her role brings and how much she loves meeting new people, whilst helping people with EB.
Pauline found that volunteering helped her overcome losing her mum, she's now been with us over 20 years.
