Last year DEBRA members had a fantastic time attending Parallel Windsor.  This is an inclusive festival in Windsor Great Park offering a variety of challenge events and fun activities for people of all ages, abilities, and health conditions. Last year DEBRA members had a fantastic time attending Parallel Windsor, and we’re considering going again this summer!  If parallel Windsor sounds like something you’d be interested in attending, please apply below. If we don’t receive enough sign-ups, we may need to consider cancelling.

What’s the event all about?

Parallel Windsor is a Festival of Inclusivity featuring a wide range of challenge events suitable for all ages, health conditions, and abilities. It takes place in the beautiful Windsor Great Park, set along the iconic Long Walk. It offers lots of different activities alongside the challenges like a Climbing Wall, Petting Zoo, Dance, Inclusive sports, Cookery and so much more!

What you can expect

  • Free entry to the festival and loads of activities.
  • Opportunity to take on the 1k walk/run/push challenge (or another distance) as part of the DEBRA team.
  • Debra t-shirt
  • Meet other members and our Member Services team, including Jade Adams, CST manager. 
  • Connect with members.

This year we have secured a special rate with the Village Hotel Bracknell. The details are:

Double Room – Bed & Breakfast Rate Single Occupancy: £70

Double Room -Bed & Breakfast Rate Double Occupancy: £80

This rate includes breakfast, leisure and car parking.’

 

What accessibility features will there be onsite?

As a fully accessible event, Parallel Windsor will have on-site parking, accessible toilets (including RevoLOO), medical support, and quiet spaces.

Windsor Great Park

Travelling by car: 

Parking is available onsite, this will be included in your ticket. The parking will be signposted. The entrance is opposite the Parking Windsor’s Great Park Car Park Postcode: SL4 2BD. 

Travelling by train: 

There are two train stations close to Windsor Great Park:

Windsor & Eton Riverside (direct trains to/from London Waterloo)  
Windsor & Eton Central (direct trains to/from Slough)  

Accessible shuttles: We will provide free accessible shuttles, between the two stations in Windsor and the festival site, between 10:00-17:00.

Walking or pushing to Windsor Great Park from Windsor

If you are planning to walk or push from Windsor, you need to access Windsor Great Park from The Cambridge Gate, which is located off Park Street. Postcode: SL4 1LB.Please note: The event site is approx. 25-minute (walk or push) from The Cambridge Gate. The walk from The Cambridge Gate along the Long Walk involves a busy road crossing (Albert Road A308).

11:30 10K

12:30 Snacks and drinks at the DEBRA gazebo

13:00 1K – join Jade for this challenge*

13:30 100m

13:30 to 14:30 bring your picnic/lunch to the open space near the stage.

14:30 Greatest Dancer Challenge – join DEBRA

15:15 Meet at the ice cream van

16:00 SuperSensory – join Abby for this challenge*
