News Great Chefs Dinner raises more than £130,000 We are delighted to announce that our Great Chefs Dinner 2021 raised an incredible £130,000, making it our most successful year yet! The sumptuous dining experience, now in its sixth year, took place on Monday 1st November 2021 in the dazzling Roux at The Landau Restaurant in The Langham Hotel, London. This year's event was hosted by Michel Roux Jr, who was joined by six stellar chefs: Chris King, Nieves Barragán Mohacho, Stephen Terry, Steven Doherty, Eric Lanlard and Monica Galetti. Michel hosted the evening in tribute to his late father Albert Roux, who also supported DEBRA as a charity close to his heart. I am always so proud to host this fantastic fundraising event for DEBRA. It is such a wonderful charity and one that I and The Langham, London are thrilled to continue to support. We have some exceptional chefs cooking this year for the sixth DEBRA Great Chefs Dinner and I know it will be a fantastic night raising money to fight EB. – Michel Roux Jr The money raised at our Great Chefs Dinner will help DEBRA to fund vital research into finding a cure for EB and in supporting our community on a daily basis with pain and wound management. Chris King, The Langham, London’s Executive Chef Canapes from Chef Albert’s repertoire Nieves Barragán – Chef Director of London restaurant Sabor Ham croquetas, celeriac, tarragon Stephen Terry – Owner of The Hardwick Restaurant in Wales Chalk Stream trout ‘Viennoise’, sauce Bois Boudran Steven Doherty – Ex-Head Chef of Le Gavroche, first British 3* Michelin Chef ‘Navarin D’Agneau’ Monica Galetti – Chef-Owner of restaurant, Mere, and judge on BBC's MasterChef Apricot tartlet, whipped vanilla ganache, Cointreau, candied pistachios Eric Lanlard – Master pâtissier who runs the Cake Boy, Battersea Selection of Petits Fours from the book “The Roux Brothers on Patisserie” The evening ended with a live auction, with incredible prizes kindly donated by generous sponsors including The Ritz, The Langham, London and The Waterside Inn, Bray. Also included were luxury stays at The Beaumont Hotel London and The Gainsborough Bath Spa and The Glasshouse Hotel Edinburgh.
