Taking Portraits with our Royal Patron to #FightEB

Aspiring photographer James Dunn, who has EB, was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet our Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex GCVO, and take her portrait.

He joined presenters Kate Garaway and Susanna Reid on the Good Morning Britain sofa to share his experiences, discussing his recent surgery to combat cancer caused by his EB, the #FightEB campaign and a DEBRA funded clinical trial that could offer new hope for the future.

If you missed it, you can watch a clip from the programme here.

James, alongside other members of the EB Community, is taking part in DEBRA’s #FightEB campaign, which aims to raise £250,000 by Rare Disease Day on 28 February.

With generous support from members of the public, the campaign has already raised over £230,000, but we still need your help to reach our final goal.

Your support will make a real difference to the EB Community – money raised could help provide care and support to people suffering from EB here and now or fund research into more effective treatments, symptom alleviation, and ultimately, a cure for EB.

Please give now to #FightEB. Thank you.
