On Monday 28th November 2022, our 7th annual Great Chef's Dinner returned to the dazzling Roux at Landau restaurant, at The Langham, London.

Our host, Michel Roux Jr was joined by five stellar chefs and Roux Scholars including Chef Chris King, Kenneth Culhane, Andre Garrett, Spencer Metzger and Steve Drake.

Michel Roux Jr, Chef Patron of Le Gavroche, and the man behind the Langham’s culinary offering, said:

I am always so proud to host this fantastic fundraising event for DEBRA. It is such a wonderful charity and one that The Langham, London and I, are thrilled to continue to support.

We have some exceptional chefs again, cooking for the seventh DEBRA Great Chefs Dinner and I know it will be a fantastic night raising money to fight EB.

Guests enjoyed a Champagne Reception sponsored by Dumangin Fils before being seated at their tables for the evening.

• Chris King - The Langham, London’s Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage Projects for Langham Hospitality Group - Canapes  
• Kenneth Culhane - Runs the Dysart Petersham Michelin star restaurant, winner of the Roux Scholarship in 2010 - Charred wild bream, kombu daikon, Champagne and ginger  
• Andre Garrett MCA – Executive Chef at The Corinthia Hotel in London, winner of the Roux Scholarship in 2002  - Orkney scallop, crab cannelloni, cauliflower, curry, dukkah  
• Spencer Metzger – Head Chef at The Ritz London, winner of the Roux Scholarship in 2019 and crowned champion of the Great British Menu 2022 - Pithivier of Anjou Pigeon with duck liver and celeriac  
• Steve Drake – Owner of Sorrel, Michelin star restaurant in Dorking, winner of the Roux Scholarship in 2001 - Blackberry Waldorf 

 

The money raised at Great Chef's Dinner will go towards our A Life Free of Pain appeal, aiming to raise £5 million by the end of 2023 to develop treatments that will enable people to live free from the pain of EB.
