Local Connect events
Connecting members in local communities across the UK, hosted by DEBRA’s EB Community Support Team.
Our EB Community Support Managers are out and about, meeting and connecting members in our brand-new Local Connects!
We’re excited to be gradually rolling out these events across the UK. These are free, informal, in-person events hosted by DEBRA’s EB Community Support Team, designed to bring people living with EB and their carers together.
Come along to share experiences, build connections, and talk about support available to you in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
What you can expect
At these small events, you can join someone from our EB Community Support Team and other DEBRA members for tea, coffee, and conversation in a local community space — like a coffee shop or DEBRA retail store.
Local Connects typically last around two hours and are held on weekdays between 9am–5pm.
- Meet others living with EB
- Find peer support
- Ask questions about living with EB, benefits, school/work support, and healthcare access
- Learn about upcoming events and how to get involved
How can I sign up for an event?
If you’d like to attend any of the upcoming Local Connect events listed below, please email one of the EB Community Support Managers listed as the contact for that event to register your interest and find out more.
