DEBRA Ladies Spring Visit to Sunningdale Heath

DEBRA Ladies Spring Visit to Sunningdale Heath

Where: Sunningdale Heath Golf Club, Cross Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire SL5 9RX

When: 27 April 2018

Sunningdale Ladies Golf Club, which we have visited several times previously, changed its name on 1 February 2017 to Sunningdale Heath.

In 2018, DEBRA will visit Sunningdale Heath twice - on Friday 27 April and on Friday 21 September. Join us there for a social day’s golf for women in support of DEBRA at this hidden jewel of a course:

08:45 – Coffee/tea and pastries

09:30 – Pairs better-ball stableford competition over 18 holes

13:00 – Lunch and Raffle

14:30 – 14-hole fun Texas Scramble

17:00 – Tea and cake

£100 per pair 18-hole Better-ball Competition with Lunch

£130 per pair also includes afternoon 14-hole Texas Scramble, tea and cake

Sunningdale Heath golf course, designed by Mr Harry Colt, on the invitation of the Clubs' founder Mr Edward Ernest Villiers, offers a unique golfing experience for golfers of all abilities. This will be our third visit to this hidden gem of a course designed with lady golfers in mind - predominantly Par 3s (though most will need driver from the tee), some par 4s and no par 5s!

The course, currently measuring 3705 yards (do not let this figure deflect you!), is located in very attractive quintessentially British countryside and is described by golfing legend Peter Alliss, as being 'Quite Magical.”

Perfectly proportioned, but smaller, as a test of golf, it is challenging, particularly for the better players. The low handicap golfer finds club selection demanding, the high handicap golfer may find the heather punishing but all enjoy the experience at Sunningdale Heath.
