The following list is a guide relating to items which the charity does not sell.  The list is not exhaustive and may be updated in the future.  Please contact DEBRA for further clarification regarding Goods We Do Not Sell, should you require this.

  • Pre-owned white goods (eg. fridges/freezer, washing machines and tumble dryers)
  • Upholstered furniture without the fire labels attached
  • Motorcycle helmets or riding helmets
  • Drugs and poisons
  • Glues, solvents and aerosols
  • Explosives in any form
  • Used make-up
  • Hot water bottles
  • Firearms of any sort
  • Knives of any type
  • Car seats
  • Ice skates
  • Candles without warning labels
  • Door bouncers for babies
  • Electrical items that have not been Portable Appliance Tested (PAT)
  • Real fur
  • Counterfeit goods
  • DVDs intended for sale outside Europe
  • Items marked ‘not for resale’
  • Foods
  • Unsealed perfumes and toiletries
  • Mobile phones
  • Computers and laptops
  • Children’s highchairs
  • Stained mattresses
  • Pianos (because of weight)
  • Large, heavy or rusted exercise equipment
  • Any property belonging to social workers or the NHS
  • Commodes
