DEBRA Holiday Homes

Last updated 30/09/20

Notice to Members

In order to comply with government guidelines it has been necessary for all holiday parks to make significant changes to booking in procedures, facilities, events & activities available and introduce important social distancing measures before re-opening. Please check each holiday park website for the most up to date information.

To help protect DEBRA Members and reduce the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, DEBRA will remove all non-essential items from the DEBRA Holiday Homes, which includes, but is not limited to: mats, rugs, soft furnishings (i.e. cushions, blankets, throws etc.), excess cutlery, crockery, tableware, glassware, ALL bedding (i.e. duvets, pillows, sheets), tea towels, books, games, puzzles, dvd’s, colouring crayons, tourist information and other leaflets.

**UPDATE: 30 September**

All holiday park visitors (including Members staying in a DEBRA Holiday Home) must comply with government guidance, such as social distancing measures, booking systems, NHS Track & Trace and wearing a mask (as required) in public areas and facilities.

Do not travel to any of the holiday parks if your area is under 'local lockdown' measures. Please contact the DEBRA Head Office (01344 771961 - Option 1) to rearrange your stay or if you have any further queries.

Please visit our Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQ page for more information on face coverings and medical exemptions.

Planning your holiday

Whatever you look forward to whilst on holiday, DEBRA Holiday Homes will provide the ideal environment for everyone to enjoy a much-needed break. DEBRA currently has five holiday homes across the UK – Brynteg (North Wales), NorfolkPoole, Weymouth and Windermere (Lake District) – all of which are offered at highly discounted rates for DEBRA Members.

DEBRA Holiday Homes are located in some of the most popular and beautiful 5-star rated parks in the UK, which offer a wide range of facilities and entertainment programmes suitable for all ages and where you can be as active or relaxed as you want. Come rain or shine, you will be able to find there is always plenty to do wherever you choose to stay.

We know that holiday planning can be stressful, especially when trying to find suitable accommodation and facilities for families living with EB. That’s why DEBRA has, where possible, adapted the holiday homes to meet the diverse needs of the EB Community.

Note: Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please check the park website for the most up-to-date information on which facilities and activities are available.

About our holiday homes

Each DEBRA Holiday Home has a slightly different layout; however, every home has an accessible ramp for outside ease of access, and there are also a range of bathroom options available between the homes. All adaptions have been made to demonstrate our commitment to meeting the needs of the EB Community.

The homes are available to hire throughout most of the year at highly discounted rates for all DEBRA Members – a unique membership benefit that very few patient organisations offer. The homes in North Wales, Norfolk and the Lake District are even available during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

There is a priority booking system to ensure equal opportunity for DEBRA Members to book time away in one of the DEBRA Holiday Homes. Please check the booking your stay page to find out when you are able to book.

Each holiday park offers a wide range of events, activities and entertainment programmes to enjoy. Please check that the facilities – both in the holiday home and at the holiday park – are suitable for your needs before booking your stay, and note any additional charges that may apply (e.g. launderette, extra activities).

Note: Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please check the park website for the most up-to-date information on which facilities and activities are available.
