How do I keep my fundraiser/event safe and legal?

  • Safety first – always.
  • If children are involved in fundraising please make sure they have permission from their legal guardian and are supervised by a responsible adult.
  • If you are planning on selling alcohol then your venue must have an alcohol licence. If in doubt always check with your local authority.

As a registered charity, DEBRA can claim back an extra 25p on every £1 donated through Gift Aid. To claim Gift Aid your sponsors must be UK tax payers and they will need to record their home address, postcode, donation amount and tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsor form or fundraising web page.

How does my donation or the money raised make a difference?

Can I use your logo on my website or in publicity materials?

You cannot change the DEBRA logo in any way and you must ensure that you represent DEBRA correctly.
