DEBRA Scotland

Did you know that as well as the team based in our head office in Bracknell, we also have a dedicated DEBRA team based in Scotland?

The Scotland fundraising team are busy organising events throughout the year, whether that be the annual Big Sports Quiz Dinner, typically held in Glasgow and attended by Vice-President and Sporting Legend, Graeme Souness, or donning a kilt and joining a Kiltwalk in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, or Dundee spreading awareness about DEBRA and epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

We also have a dedicated person in Scotland to support people living with EB and their carers. We are the national charity for people living with EB in the UK and are committed to supporting the EB community with a range of services intended to enhance quality of life, whether they are members of DEBRA or not. However, becoming a member of DEBRA makes it easier to access our services and exclusive benefits, currently we have just over 150 members living in Scotland. You can apply to become a DEBRA member online, and membership is free; we’re here to support you.

If you are looking to get involved with any fundraising activities based in Scotland, or if you are a DEBRA member who would like to get in touch with the Community Support Team, please reach out to one of our team members below:

In 2020, Rangers FC and Celtic FC legends took to the stage for an amazing night that brought the two sides together to help #StopThePain of EB.

On Thursday 21st March, the two sides will meet again at the ‘The Great Divide’; celebrating Glasgow’s football icons.

This exciting event will take place in the city centre at the Hilton, Glasgow, and kicks off at 6.15pm with a sparkling drinks reception, followed by a delicious three course meal including wine.

Scottish sports presenter and DEBRA Scotland Ambassador, Emma Dodds, will host the event, alongside DEBRA UK Vice President and Scottish football icon, Graeme Souness.

Special guests include Chris Sutton (Celtic FC), Scott Brown (Celtic FC), Kenny Miller (Rangers FC) and Kris Boyd (Rangers FC), as the two footballing sides come together under one roof in support of DEBRA UK and those living with EB.
