EB skills in podiatry course

The aim of this DEBRA UK funded course is to set out and develop the podiatrist understanding in the handling and managing of patients with EB.

This half-day programme is an introduction to EB to provide podiatrists with an evidence-based set of current clinical practice guidelines for people and their families and carers, living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

  • Avoidance of blistering and wounds
  • Management of dystrophic nails
  • Management of hyperkeratosis (callus)
  • Assessment and monitoring of mobility
  • Footwear advice
  • Assessment of pseudosyndactyly and contractures


Who can attend?

The course is available to all statutorily regulated healthcare professionals. Podiatrists in the UK are regulated by HCPC. Other podiatrists around the world who have a similar regulator in their own countries are welcome to attend.
