We’re proud to celebrate an incredible milestone, as Cheryl Soden marks 25 years of volunteering with our Saltcoats shop.

This morning, Cheryl was presented with her 25-year service badge and was delighted to receive a thank you letter from DEBRA CEO Tony Byrne, recognising her long-standing commitment and contribution.

Cheryl volunteers around 16 hours each week and remains a much-valued member of the team. She says she loves working alongside her colleagues and enjoys helping customers find what they’re looking for when she’s working on the till.

Cheryl has also shared how volunteering supports her wellbeing, helping her manage anxiety by keeping busy and giving her a sense of purpose. She takes great pride in knowing she is helping to raise vital funds for people living with EB and their families.

Volunteers like Cheryl are vital to everything we do. Their time, dedication and passion help keep our shops running and make a real difference to the EB community every day.
