The Kiltwalk 2022

The Kiltwalk is back for 2022!

With four Kiltwalk dates and locations for your diary, we have something for everyone.

Aberdeen Kiltwalk – 29th May

Dundee Kiltwalk – 21st August

Edinburgh Kiltwalk – 18th September

Virtual Kiltwalk – 7th – 9th October

Join us on a Kiltwalk of your choice and raise money for DEBRA. Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation will top up all funds by 50%*

The Kiltwalk will make its return to the Capital on Sunday 18th September. Sporting legend Graeme Souness will be walking for Team DEBRA taking on the Mighty Stride challenge.

There’s three walking distances to pick from with the Mighty Stride (24 miles), Big Stroll (14.6) and Wee Wander (approx. 3.5 – 4.5 miles)

There are limited free DEBRA places available if you pledge to walk for DEBRA and raise a minimum of £150.

*The fundraising top up limit for 2022 runs from 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022 and is £5,000 per walker or donor. This is a cumulative limit for all Kiltwalk events in the above period. All fundraising top ups are subject to deadlines and Trustee approval.

    DEBRA was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Hilton whose daughter Debra had Dystrophic EB – the charity was the world’s first EB patient support group.

    Dystrophic EB (DEB)

    Can be mild or severe (dominant or recessive). The defective gene and fragility occurs below the basement membrane within the superficial dermis.
