Fundraising in the South, South West and South Wales

To support DebRA in this area please contact Ruth McBain on 07884 078504.

Can you help, please?

Collection boxes across the country can raise many thousands of pounds for DebRA. Do you know of a local shop, pub or club that would have one of our boxes? If so, perhaps you could let me know and we can arrange for one to be put in the post - and perhaps you'd be kind enough to look after it for us. Payroll Giving is a wonderfully easy way to support DebRA. Regular donations can be taken from your pay before tax thereby enabling your donation to cost you less - it's almost magic! Please contact me if you'd like to know more about giving this way.

Like a Challenge? Please ask for information about our full programme of outdoor events.

If golf is "your bag", please let me know if you'd like to receive details of DebRA's Golf Days.

Thanks...

It would be impossible to thank everyone here but these are some supporters who have helped recently. If your name is not here, please don't think we have forgotten you - you are just as important to us and I hope you know just how much we appreciate your support.

Windsor Forest Unicorn Club

Members of this club are very old friends of DebRA and have given a great deal of support over the years. This year they donated the magnificent donation of £4,000 - just one of the many presentations they made after their highly successful Wokingham Fireworks Display. Thank you so much for your most generous gift and for keeping DebRA in your thoughts.

Shiplake College and Christian Gilder

Christian found out about DebRA from his grandmother, who had supported the charity with her Inner Wheel Club and decided he wanted to help too. Shiplake College hold a sponsored walk and he nominated DebRA for support - he was successful in his proposal and we were thrilled to receive the tremendous donation of £2,289. Thank you Christian - and thank you to Shiplake College for your fantastic support.

Here is a pic of the dancers' demonstration dance.

The Hollybush Tavern Village Club, Surrey

By holding their annual Memorial Cricket Match in memory of baby Mia, who was born with severe EB and lived for just 25 days, they raised a tremendous £632.74. Thank you to all who took part and to Mia's mum, Sonia, for encouraging everyone to support DebRA.

Claire Stanbridge, Nina Couchman and Sue Cowburn

Three intrepid ladies who cycled from London to Paris and raised a huge £3650. Just cycling around the Arc de Triomphe would have been enough for me! Thank you all for your superb efforts.

Jayne Holmes and her fantastic friends

Jayne lives near St Austell in Cornwall and is a wonderful ambassador for DebRA - and she constantly amazes us by just how much she can raise. If you'd like to challenge her fundraising you'd need to exceed £1432.80 by baking and selling cakes and £1517.78 from a Coffee Morning! She and her friends have raised an incredible ££20,311.25 since she first began helping us - and her inspiration is her brother-in-law who lives with EB. Words alone can't say how grateful we are - thank you.

Lauren Trent

For fundraising at Clayesmore School - you're doing a fantastic job! Thank you so much.

Nadia Flint's Dance Studio - Zumba Evening

It's not often that an event makes money as well as creating a loss but this one did - a great £275 was made for DebRA and I imagine a few pounds were lost as a result of the energetic event. Thank you all.

Caroline Stanzel

Caroline is one of Mason White's carers so she knew which charity would best benefit from her running so she raised a brilliant £277.75 for DebRA by taking part in the Bath Half Marathon earlier this year. Thanks, Caroline - you're one fit lady!

The show was sponsored by Rubyz and Eden Hair & Beauty and was compered by Lady James and featured many local talented acts, including Dame Kitty.
