DebRA is set to receive almost £25,000 of unrestricted funding following the second ever monday lottery draw.
monday - The Charities Lottery was launched on May 8 and promised to be the fairer lottery, offering better odds for players and with more money going directly to charities.
DebRA supporter Nell McAndrew, pictured here, helped to launch the new lottery at a special party.
DebRA is set to benefit from five draws over 12 months, the first of which was drawn on Monday May 15.
But the charity is keen to encourage all its supporters to play the lottery each week, so all the charities involved have a great chance of benefiting.
DebRA’s director of fundraising and communication, Mark Smith, said: “DebRA is set to receive almost £25,000 from the draw, which is a fantastic amount of money.
“This is a great start and we are confident that income levels will grow throughout the rest of this year.
“DebRA has three more lotteries coming up in 2006 but we are urging everyone to play the lottery each week, as it is a great way to provide direct support to a range of different charities, including DebRA.”
