HASBRO, a solid supporter
The toy company HASBRO continues to support DebRA through an incredibly inventive and wide range of employee activities.
The company continues to champion DebRA's work on its website and continues to raise funds and support our work.
One high profile fundraising event was in 2005 when HASBRO invited DebRA and Barnardos to benefit from its prestigious ‘Here and Now’ Monopoly launch on the River Thames. Cherie Booth, friend of DebRA and Patron of Barnardos, spoke with compassion about her friendship with Jonny Kennedy to a packed audience of charity representatives, celebrities, media and corporate guests.
Ten limited edition framed boards – the only ones to include Downing Street – were signed by Cherie and Tony Blair and auctioned. A total of £60,000 was raised for the charities.
A number of people with EB attended and thoroughly enjoyed the day, which included a spin on the London Eye.
HASBRO has raised nearly £100,000 in total for DebRA, for which we are most grateful.
