DebRA’s Social Care Team started work in August 2003 to provide a dedicated social work service to people whose lives are affected by EB. Our Social Care Managers have varied skills and experience and they are able to offer wide-ranging support.
The service has been split into regions but the skills of all team members are pooled to make the best use of their varying experiences. We aim to work in partnership with people with EB to provide the service that they want. In addition to direct work with individuals to address particular difficulties, the team also talks to people living with EB to determine what is important to them and what new developments should be progressed.
